Speak Up Cybersecurity Survey for New Jersey K-12 District Leaders

If you are on a K-12 district technology team or a district administrator, please visit https://www.tomorrow.org/resource/speak-up-cybersecurity-project-for-district-teams/
I’m Ready to Speak Up in New Jersey! This survey is designed to be completed by the leader of a K-12 district technology or educational technology department in New Jersey. We are also collecting feedback nationwide, but this survey is specifically for New Jersey leaders.
The Speak Up National Cybersecurity Survey, a partnership with iboss, focuses on how K-12 school districts are responding to cybersecurity risks and threats. This project is part of a 4-year research effort to help K-12 districts address the real threats of cyberattacks on network infrastructure and data assets. Unlike other surveys on the topic, Speak Up’s focus is on ensuring that you have the best insights to make better decisions. One way we do that is by giving you back your local data from your district team. Speak Up also provides you with national comparatives.
We value the voice of New Jersey education leaders and want to assure you that participants’ individual responses are not shared with anyone outside of Project Tomorrow. All data collected through the Speak Up Research Project is aggregated and reported at the group level only. No personally identifiable information is included in any reports or shared with external organizations.
- All data is 100% protected and confidential
- Takes less than 15 minutes to complete
- We use only aggregated data for national reporting
- You will be able to compare your responses to other districts nationwide. Learn how your views and actions on cybersecurity in your district compare with like peers nationwide.
- At the conclusion of the survey, 20 national K-12 Technology Leader emails will be randomly selected and each will receive a $50 Amazon gift card.
- Survey open through May 14, 2025.
- After completing the survey, you are encouraged to invite your district colleagues to also participate in the study.
Promoting district participation
- You can review the questions for Technology Staff and Education Leaders.
- Sign up to get your credential to access the Speak Up dashboard https://speakup.tomorrow.org/
- We will send you sample messaging to share with your technology staff and district leadership including how to access their surveys.
- Receive a full confidential report to inform your local decision-making around cybersecurity preparations and training.
- To show our appreciation for your district’s participation, we will randomly select 20 districts that complete the survey and award a $50 gift card to their designated Speak Up contact or lead.
