The vision of Project Tomorrow is to ensure that today’s students are well prepared to be tomorrow’s innovators, leaders and engaged citizens of the world. We believe that by supporting the innovative uses of science, math and technology resources in our K-12 schools and communities, students will develop the critical thinking, problem solving and creativity skills needed to compete and thrive in the 21st century.
Sail to Shelter upcycles retired, elite sails converting them into shade and shelter for humanitarian crises around the world. These giant masterpieces spend most of their lives rolled up and stored in hangars. Together with passionate and creative partners, Sail to Shelter designs meaningful new uses for a sail’s second act.
Populations all over the world are facing displacement. It may be a result of desertification due to climate change, a single massive weather event, war, or even genocide. Regardless of how they got there, millions of humans are facing unfathomable uncertainty, fear and danger every single day. Millions don’t have basic shelter.
We cannot build temporary housing fast enough. There are palette houses and slab cities everywhere and all the while, millions of square meters of kevlar strength material is rolled up in warehouses around the world. We decided to do something with it.
We are working with architects and engineers to design basic but stable solutions using sails and simple tools and materials. Through our global partnerships we locate sails as close to the area as possible and hire locally when we can to support local economies.
Your support makes this possible.
