The Speak Up data represents the largest collection of authentic, unfiltered stakeholder input on education, technology, 21st century skills, schools of the future and science instruction. Education, business and policy leaders report use the data regularly to inform federal, state and local education programs.
Speak Up is an annual research project facilitated by the national education nonprofit organization Project Tomorrow, that collects and reports on the authentic, unfiltered views of key education stakeholders. Through the online surveys and focus groups, Speak Up stimulates new local discussions about 21st century learning, and raises national awareness about the value of incorporating the views of students, parents and educators in education policy, program and funding decisions.
Since 2003, the Speak Up National Research Project has polled K-12 students, parents, teachers, as well as school and district administrators about their activities, aspirations and values around the use of technology in learning. In 2009, Project Tomorrow expanded the Speak Up Project to collect data from college students who are participating in teacher preparatory programs across the United States.

Tomorrow’s Teachers Speak Up is facilitated through online surveys. All participating colleges, universities and programs that promote the survey to their students will receive a free online report with the national data findings as well as the institutional results. A national report on the survey findings will also be shared with policymakers, academic research organizations and media.
All of the data is 100% confidential and no specific institutional findings will be shared with anyone outside of the participating college or university. Please see our confidentiality policy for further clarification of this key program component.
