Schools that already have communications technology
in place shouldn't feel that a NetDay effort isn't for them
- it's their chance to show off, to demonstrate the possibilities
that other communities can look forward to, and to help a neighboring
efforts are an opportunity even for schools that can't
manage to install cable on the designated day. Have an
open house on NetDay and get your community talking about
how to start its own NetDay activities.
40 states now have wiring efforts under way, but if your
state isn't among them, don't be discouraged.
In fact, NetDay96 was really nothing but communities
that had found ways to wire their schools on their own,
classroom by classroom. If it weren't for people across
the country like you, NetDay96 could never have happened.
