Technology in the Classroom

How is educational technology impacting the classrooms of today...and tomorrow?! Highlighting the work of local teachers, this session explores the digital tools used in today's classroom and their transformative impact on teaching and learning.

Career Technical Education and College Level Teaching

Have you considered teaching in an area other than the traditional K-12? Learn from a veteran teacher about his experience teaching in college and CTE (Career Technical Education) Classrooms. You may discover these non-traditional teaching pathways are the perfect fit for you!

Preschool Pathways and Practice

Discover the exciting world of working with young children, 0-5 years old.  Come learn how you can integrate your classes with practical experience.  There are many new and exciting opportunities developing in the field of Early Childhood Education.  Lead young children to cognitive, creative and social growth and development.

The College Experience-Student Panel

Students from colleges and universities will provide you with insight on college life.  They will share their successes as well as give you tips on what you need to do to stay focused and be successful.

Academic Preparation for Teaching

Learn about the various teacher preparation programs and necessary steps to enter into a multiple subject, single subject or education specialist credential program from college representatives.  There will be a Q&A session so come prepared with your questions.

Counseling Services and Special Education

STEM: Looking to the Future

Science, Technology, Math and Engineering, known as STEM, are the hot subject areas leading to the highest paying, high demand careers of the future. Saddleback College Professor Larry Perez, creator of the popular website alegebra2go, will share techniques with future STEM teachers.

High School Teaching Strategies

Teaching high school students requires the ability to be an expert in a subject area while still helping students develop these skills necessary to succeed in life.  Learn from veteran Trabuco Hills High School science teacher Tom Grzecka how to combine Common Core with common courtesy to empower students to be the best they can be.
